Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using the PoolSitter website (gopoolsitter.com) or engaging our pool cleaning and maintenance services. By accessing our website, submitting a consultation request, or entering into a service agreement with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Services Provided

PoolSitter provides residential swimming pool cleaning, maintenance, chemical balancing, and equipment services in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, including Collin, Dallas, Denton, and Tarrant counties. Specific services and pricing are outlined in your individual service agreement.

2. Service Agreement

Services begin upon your acceptance of a written or verbal service agreement and receipt of your first payment. By scheduling a service visit or recurring plan with PoolSitter, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate contact and property information
  • Ensure safe, unobstructed access to your pool and equipment area
  • Notify us of any known hazards, pets, alarm codes, or gate access requirements
  • Ensure chemical and water levels are within a workable range at the start of service

3. Scheduling and Access

We schedule weekly visits on a regular day each week. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of any scheduling changes due to weather, holidays, or technician availability. We require gated or locked areas to be accessible; if a technician cannot access the pool area, the visit may be skipped without a refund for that visit.

4. Payment Terms

  • Monthly plans are billed in advance at the beginning of each billing cycle.
  • One-time services (deep cleaning, equipment repair) are payable upon completion or as agreed.
  • Accepted payment methods include credit/debit card, check, Venmo, and Zelle.
  • Invoices not paid within 15 days of the due date may incur a late fee of $25.
  • PoolSitter reserves the right to suspend service for accounts 30 or more days past due.

5. Cancellation Policy

  • Monthly plans: Either party may cancel with 14 days' written notice. No partial-month refunds.
  • One-time appointments: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before a scheduled visit may be subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
  • PoolSitter reserves the right to cancel or reschedule service visits due to severe weather, safety concerns, or technician illness, without penalty.

6. Chemical Responsibility and Equipment

PoolSitter technicians apply chemicals according to standard pool care practices. We are not responsible for damage resulting from pre-existing equipment failures, plumbing defects, or incorrect chemical readings caused by third-party products or prior service. We recommend no swimming for at least 30 minutes after chemical treatment.

We may recommend equipment repairs or replacements. Repairs are performed only with your written or verbal authorization. We are not liable for the failure of equipment that was not repaired or replaced at our recommendation.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PoolSitter's liability for any claim arising out of or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount you paid for services in the 30-day period preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind.

PoolSitter is not responsible for damage caused by: acts of God, existing structural defects, improper use of pool equipment by you or third parties, or failure to follow our recommendations.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless PoolSitter and its employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising out of your breach of these Terms, your negligence, or any misrepresentation you have made.
